Our focus is Energy Infrastructure Development in Myanmar
Myanmar is the latest emerging market in Southeast Asia. With a population of 60 million and roughly the size of Texas, the country is very rich in natural resources including oil and gas. However, 50 years of military rule has left the Country’s infrastructure in the state of disrepair. Recent opening has provided an opportunity to employ much needed capital investments. Electric Power infrastructure (generation, transmission, and distribution) is one of those areas in need of significant capital investments. Demand is rapidly increasing with the opening of the economy, but demand outstrips supply by a wide margin (over 50%) and the situation is expected to worsen without new power generation investment.
Our strategy is simple: target segments of the energy value chain with significant inefficiencies and employ capital and technology to increase efficiencies rapidly to satisfy the growing demand. We have identified three areas that can be developed within two or three years time frame:
1. Development of gas fired and solar power generation. 2. Formation of power distribution company. 3. Exploration and production of hydrocarbon resources.
